Ezi Download Manager Download

Privacy policy

Last updated: 21 October 2026

The short version

  • No account, no analytics, no tracking.
  • Your downloads, download history, files and settings stay on your PC.
  • To check your trial or license, EDM sends our license server only your license key and an anonymous hash that identifies your PC.
  • To buy, you send a bank transfer and upload the payment screenshot. We use the email (and WhatsApp number, if you give one) only to send your activation code and help you. We never ask for your card number, PIN or bank login.

Who we are

Ezi Download Manager ("EDM") is a product of Ezitech (ezitech.org). This policy covers the EDM desktop app, the EDM browser extension, and this website, edm.ezitech.org.

What stays on your PC

Everything you do in EDM is stored only on your own computer:

We do not have a copy of any of this, and EDM does not upload it anywhere.

What EDM sends to us

EDM talks to our license server (license.ezitech.org) to start your 3-day trial, to activate a key, and to check your license from time to time. It sends only:

For each license, the server keeps only what it needs: the license key, the PC hash it is activated on, the plan and its expiry date.

As with any connection on the internet, our server sees your IP address while it answers a request. The license server uses it only for a short time to block abuse and does not save it.

What we do not collect

The browser extension

The extension works only with EDM on your own PC. When it catches a download, it passes the link, plus the cookies and page address (referrer) that this download needs, to EDM over a local connection inside your computer (127.0.0.1). This is what makes downloads from sites you are logged into work. Nothing from the extension is sent to Ezitech.

Websites you download from

When you download a file or video, EDM connects directly to that website, just like your browser would. Those websites have their own privacy policies. For videos, EDM uses the open-source tool yt-dlp and checks its official release page on GitHub for a newer version every few days, so video sites keep working.

Payments

When you buy a license, you send the amount by bank transfer to Ezitech's Meezan Bank account and upload a screenshot of the payment on our checkout page. With it you give us your email address, and optionally your WhatsApp number, the name on the sending account and the transaction reference.

We use these only to match your payment with your order, to email your activation code, and to answer you if something is wrong. The screenshot is visible only to Ezitech staff and is deleted 30 days after we approve or decline the payment. The order record (order number, plan, amount, email and date) is kept for our accounts. We never ask for, see or store your card number, PIN or bank login. The checkout page keeps a private order code in your browser's local storage (not a cookie).

This website

edm.ezitech.org does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts, and does not load fonts or files from other sites. When you click a Buy button, your browser goes to license.ezitech.org and then to the payment provider.

Email support

If you email help@ezitech.org, we use your email address and message only to help you.

Your choices

You can stop using EDM at any time. To take your license off a PC, open Settings → License → Remove from this PC. For questions about the data linked to your license key, email help@ezitech.org.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
